Welling Court Mural Project (Art Gallery in Queens)

  1. Socrates Sculpture Park

    Explore the internationally renowned outdoor museum, Socrates Sculpture Park in Long Island City. The park was once an abandoned riverside landfill and illegal dumpsite. In 1986, a group of local artists transformed it into an open studio and exhibition space. Today, it houses some of the most incredible metal installations. What’s best? It’s open 365 days a year from 9 AM until sunset.

    Many local artists display their talents at Welling Court Mural Project. It’s a bit of a hike from the subway, but worth it (if you’re into street art). You can spend a few hours walking around and soaking in the creativity.
