Ciao, Hej, Olá, Hai!

Hola, I’m Jessica, a Brooklyn native, journalist, content creator, speaker, and educator with a mission to inspire you to not just observe, but actively explore, continually learn, and confidently embrace your unique self-expression.

But, my story is a bit longer than that…

My love for adventure started at a young age. As a child, I spent most of my summers with my grandparents in the Dominican Republic. It wasn’t until I turned 16 that my mother gave me a choice that would forever change my life:

  • A) a cool sweet sixteen party or

  • B) a trip to Spain with EF Educational Tours. Of course, I chose the latter (obviously)!

And boy! Since that initial European adventure in Spain, I haven't looked back. I graduated with a degree in Journalism and secured an editor position at a travel publication. There, I've interviewed hotel managers from top destinations, uncovering the best spots for food, relaxation, and nature — you name it. Following this, I took on a role at Google, creating travel content as a strategist and editor for Google Maps.

Ever since, I’ve spent the past 7 years sharing my journey and travel tips with friends, family, and on social media with people all around the world. I’ve traveled to some of the world’s greatest wonders and call New York City my home base.

What’s Traveling with Jessica’s purpose?

To educate and help people expose themselves to creativity and new experiences, but also inspire them to look to the borders of what they do not know — after all, creativity is the treat that makes life so much sweeter. Backed by years of experience and knowledge as an editor in the travel industry, I’ll be sharing the good, the not-so-great, the humorous, and even the chismes. You can expect to read stories about the incredible people I’ve met along the way, some of my favorite travel hacks and products, hotels, and even my culinary journey (inspired by my travels).

Wowed by the amazing Pyramids of Giza, Egypt!
