How I Spent 3 Days Eating My Way Through Toronto

Travel and food go hand in hand. One of my favorite aspects of exploring a new city is indulging in the local cuisine and finding hidden culinary gems. After spending three nights in Toronto, I realized I’d spent most of my waking hours eating and drinking my way through the town! So, I knew I had to share some of my favorite spots with you. Check out my top foodie finds in and things to do in Toronto. P.S. The best part about eating on vacation? You can walk off all the calories with sightseeing!

  1. Brunch Baja Style at Kost

I recommend a visit to Kost for brunch. Sitting atop the 44th floor of Toronto’s Bisha Hotel, the restaurant boasts gorgeous views of the CN tower. Paired with delicious Bajan cuisine, this spot is not to be missed. My favorite menu item? Get the Kost breakfast with a cold-pressed juice for an authentic and fulfilling meal that will fuel you for a full day of sightseeing! Price range: $$

  2. Get Your Pad Thai on at Pai

I loved the dinner I had at PAI, a Thai restaurant that is definitely worth the wait. I say that because it tends to get super busy. I was there on a weekend and there was a line down the block. That said, the food is out of this world! Other pluses, they offer reasonable portion sizes and the music is solid. Price range: $$

  3. Check Out The Distillery Historic District

Once a 19th-century building that housed a large whiskey distillery, The Distillery Historic District is now home to a quaint collection of boutiques, galleries, cafes, and restaurants. I visited in December 2019 and was able to check out the Toronto Christmas Market, which was awesome! Head to Cluny Bistro & Boulangerie for a quick coffee and croissant stop. Sure, it's a bit pricey, but their croissants live up to the hype. Worth the buttery splurge! Price range: $$$

  4. Warm-Up at Momofuku Noodle Bar

David Chang's joints never disappoint. And if you’ve never been to a David Chang restaurant, then you’re definitely in for a treat. His Momofuku Noodle Bar is world-renowned for its delicious noodles, buns, and broths. Bonus: If you have a sweet tooth like me, hop over to Milk Bar on the second floor after your meal. You’ll thank me later. Price range: $$

  5. Savor a Taste of the Mediterranean at Byblos

Mediterranean traditions meet local ingredients at this scrumptious Eastern Mediterranean restaurant located in the heart of downtown Toronto, right near the entertainment district. They serve up family-style dishes and while the food portions aren’t huge, the flavors make up for it. Price range: $$$

  6. Spin Around the World at 360

360 is the restaurant atop Toronto’s famous CN Tower. I came here for a surprise birthday dinner. The view was absolutely beautiful. And of course, the fact that this restaurant spins around (very slowly) is even better. The food and wine are all sustainable and locally sourced. It’s the best place to get an exquisite taste for all that is Canada! I would recommend it, especially during sunset. Price range: $$$$
