Fun Socially Distanced Things to Do in NYC
From NYC’s must-see attractions to lesser-known gems, locals and visitors alike can still enjoy winter in the city while practicing social distancing. In an effort to keep the cheer flowing despite the pandemic we’re still experiencing, here are awesome things you can do in NYC:
MoMA’s back!
New York City’s famous Museum of Modern Art has reopened after being closed throughout the summer. Explore permanent collections of some of the world’s best modern art and enjoy current exhibitions, too. You can ensure that your visit is safe as COVID-19 precautions have been put in place. Entry to the museum is by advance timed ticket only and capacity is limited. So, be sure to reserve before you go!
Grand Army Plaza
Grand Army Plaza is a stunning public plaza with its iconic arch. It’s located in the heart of Brooklyn at the northern point of Prospect Park. It was built in 1866 by park designer Calvert Vaux, who considered the plaza a vital design element. On weekends you can roam the greenmarket here and during the week you can simply enjoy strolling through it. Its proximity to Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Public Library, and the Brooklyn Museum are all a plus too. It’s a great outdoor activity for a nice day!
Flynyon Helicopter Tours
Soaring through the Manhattan skies is a great way to celebrate any occasion! I recommend going with Flynyon Helicopter Tours — they offer “doors on” or “doors off” if you really want to experience the thrill of sitting above NYC! They also offer customized routes and they’re known for being the ultimate helicopter photo experience, snapping amazing photos from above!
American Museum of Natural History
Dinosaur bones, starry planetarium skies… oh my! The American Museum of Natural History in New York City is one of the most famous in the world and is now open for visitors. It's located right across from Central Park, which is great for a post-museum, socially distanced stroll! Click here to schedule your visit today.
