Los Cabos 2023: My Stay at Hacienda del Mar

When it comes to luxury accommodations that seamlessly blend modern comfort with eco-consciousness, Hacienda del Mar Los Cabos Resort in beautiful Los Cabos, Mexico, stands as a shining example. Nestled on a breathtaking 11-acre landscape overlooking the serene Sea of Cortez, this resort is nothing short of a tranquil seaside village. During my recent stay, I was not only captivated by the stunning views but also impressed by the resort's commitment to sustainability and preserving the local environment.

In this guide, I'll share why this makes one of the best places to stay in Los Cabos and the optimal time to embark on your Cabo San Lucas adventure in 2023 and beyond.

A Sanctuary of Luxury and Sustainability

Hacienda del Mar Los Cabos features 542 rooms and suites. The resort's architecture draws inspiration from 19th-century Haciendas — evoking an exclusive and timeless charm.

For culinary enthusiasts, the resort offers an array of dining experiences, with six restaurants and five bars. You can indulge in delectable cuisine while soaking in the mesmerizing ocean views.

But the luxury doesn't end there — Hacienda del Mar Los Cabos has much more to offer. With five swimming pools, including one with an infinity edge, the resort invites you to relax and unwind in style. The renowned Cactus Spa and a fully equipped fitness center ensure that you can rejuvenate both your body and mind. I experienced a deep tissue massage at the spa and can happily say that it’s one of the best I’ve received.

For families, there's a dedicated children's club and a plethora of outdoor activities to create unforgettable memories in the Baja California climate. Plus, the resort boasts one of the largest convention centers in Los Cabos, spanning over 1,670 square meters. This makes Hacienda del Mar an ideal destination for hosting meetings and special events of any size.

Los Cabos: A World of Natural Wonders

Nestled along the shores of the Sea of Cortez, Los Cabos remains a timeless gem on the Baja Peninsula. One of the best places to visit, it boasts an abundance of natural wonders that beckon travelers to explore its pristine beaches, rugged desert terrain, and the azure waters of the Pacific Ocean.

Eco-Conscious Luxury at Hacienda del Mar Los Cabos

Hacienda del Mar Los Cabos Resort exemplifies eco-conscious luxury. The resort's commitment to sustainability is evident in its environmentally responsible practices, which include waste reduction, energy conservation, and water preservation. By choosing to stay here, you not only indulge in luxury but also support eco-friendly initiatives that safeguard the local environment.

Exploring Culinary Treasures

The restaurants at Hacienda del Mar are known for their indulgent cuisine. De Cortex Grill offers an authentic grill house experience with a casual ambiance, attentive service, and Mexican fusion cuisine. Tomates Restaurant offers breakfast buffets and themed night dinners that take diners on a culinary journey through Mexican flavors.

For taco lovers, Burro Cansado is a must-visit — it serves a selection of Mexican tacos. Don't forget to try the dessert taco here (a favorite!).

Pitahayas Restaurant adds a unique twist to Pacific Coast Cuisine. With its focus on local and imported ingredients —every meal here is delicious. Don't forget to try the mocktails and cocktails – the passion fruit drinks were my go-to choice!

Embracing Mexican Tradition: Día de los Muertos

Hacienda del Mar Los Cabos Resort offers more than just luxury accommodations; it provides a unique opportunity for guests to immerse themselves in Mexican culture. On November 2, 2023, the resort will celebrate the annual festival of Día de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead. The festivities will include a parade, a symbolically rich tradition known worldwide. During this event, guests can experience live music, dance shows, traditional bread of the dead, hot chocolate, and other traditional drinks.

The Best Time of Year to Go to Cabo San Lucas

If you are planning a trip to Los Cabos, it's essential to consider the timing. The ideal time to visit Cabo San Lucas is said to be between November and May, but I visited last month in October and had a great experience. During these months, the weather is usually pleasant — with average temperatures around 92 degrees Fahrenheit.
